Benefits of juice fasting

Juice fasting is a great way to revitalize not only the body but also the spirit. It’s a remarkable method for cleansing, rejuvenating and detoxifying the body. A typical juice faster will experience:

  • An increase to their cognitive ability.
  • Better psychological well-being.
  • A feeling of lightness.
  • And higher energy levels.

Because of the extreme nature of the fast, it should be preceded by the preparation period.
This reduces the unpleasant side effects associated with drastic fasting, such as nausea, drowsiness and headaches. These reactions are caused by toxins being released from your body. Without nutrients from the outside world, the body runs at full speed to use up everything that’s in the body already. All the unwanted toxins  are released due to the intensive digestion and then expelled.

How to prepare for a juice cleanse?

Even if you’re planning just a short fast, preparation for it should start at least a week in advance. Start by eliminating all sugars, sweets, fizzy sodas, white bread and gradually reduce the amount of dairy you consume. Swap coffee and alcohol for water and herbal teas.

TIP: Have a glass of warm water in the morning, then suck a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil , which strongly cleanses the body out of toxins.

Remember that toxins are being expelled through your skin as well. Make sure to find the time to dry brush the whole body intensively once or twice a day. It will enhance your body’s ability to detox and will aid the lymphatic system overall. You will notice your tongue getting covered in a white coating. Brush it off with a toothbrush, as it’s full of unwanted toxic compounds.

Juice fasting for weight loss

Juice fasting for weight loss: Recipes

Beetroot mayhem (1 large serving)


  • 1 medium Beet Root
  • 3 Red Cabbage leaves
  • 3 medium sized Carrots
  • 3 rings of Pineapple
  • 1 medium Orange
  • 1/2 Lemon
  • a handful of Kale leaves


  • Wash all produce, peel the beet, orange and lemon.
  • Juice all ingredients in a juicer.
  • Stir and serve.

Morning kick-starter (1 serving)


  • 2 limes
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1/4 pineapple
  • 1 grapefruit (yellow type)
  • 1 grapefruit (red type)




– Wash the produce well, peel the limes and grapefruits.

– Juice all ingredients in a juicer.

– Stir and enjoy.

Weight loss bullet (1 serving)


  • 3 large apples (granny smith or red delicious)
  • 3 large celery stalks
  • 4 cups of spinach
  • 1 peeled lemon



  • Wash the produce well
  • Core the apples, peel the lemon
  • Juice all ingredients in a juicer.
  • Stir and serve.

One day juice fast

The most effective way of cleansing your body is complete fasting, when we do not eat anything and drink only water. However, such fasting is not suitable for everyone. A safer form is a one day juice cleanse, during which we do not eat but only drink fresh juices. Fasting regulates all the physiological functions of the body. Juice delivers all the necessary organic substances. During therapy, fresh juices are absorbed more efficiently, rather than when we drink them while eating normally. Raw juices are alkaline in nature and support maintaining acid-base balance by neutralizing acids that accumulate in the body in the process of starvation.

Juice fast schedule:

  • The night before, have a light vegetarian dinner.
  • 8am Get up and immediately drink a cup of warm (not hot !) herbal tea , preferably chamomile or peppermint.
  • 10am Drink a glass of a fruit juice, preferably apple-based, diluted half and half with water. Our suggestion:

Fresh Apple Juice with Lemon (1 serving)


  • 3 medium apples (Royal Gala)
  • ½ lemon
  • 3 stems and leaves of nettles (optional)



  • Wash all produce.
  • Core the apples and remove the lemon peel.
  • Juice and enjoy.



1pm Drink a glass of vegetable-based juice. Our suggestion :

Carroty heaven (1 serving)


  • 6 medium carrots
  • 5 sprigs of parsley
  • 4 lettuce leaves


  • Wash all produce.
  • Peel the carrots and parsley.
  • Juice and enjoy.


  • 4pm  Cup of warm herbal tea, preferably ginger. 
  • 7pm A glass of juice: fruit or vegetable. Our suggestion:

El tomate loco (1 serving)


  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 2 strips of bell red pepper
  • 1 mango fruit 


  • Wash all produce.
  • Peel the tomatoes and mango.
  • Juice and enjoy.



If you’re thirsty throughout the day, drink some hot water.

Ending your juice detox cleanse

Don’t shock your body by going back to your old diet habits straight away. The transition to solid foods has to be gradual.
The day after a juice cleanse, have an apple for breakfast with a piece of rye bread. At lunch – a small plate of vegetable soup and some vegetable purée for dinner. The next day start eating normally, just remember to opt in for healthier choices.

A one day juice fast should be ideally carried out once a week. An alternative is a three day juice cleanse once a month. But after longer period of fasting your transition to eating normally should be even slower: aim for a week at least.
